Wesley Methodist Primary School Forth Road, Manchester

Welcome to 3/4M!

Here you can catch up with all we are learning about in class. Look out for the latest news.

Our topics for the next half term include electricity and ancient China. In English we will be reading Moon Man and working on news reports, and we will cover shape, multiplication and division in Maths.

P.E. is on a Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Children must have a full P.E. kit.

Reading books

Reading journals are checked daily and new books given out as appropriate. We encourage the children to read as often as possible and bring their reading journals in every day. They will be assessed on their colour band each half term.

Times tables

On Thursdays children will have their timed times table challenge. They will bring home their sheets with their scores and their focus to practise for the following week. Times Table Rock Stars is a fun way to practise. Children's login details are stuck in their reading journals.

On Fridays we have our spelling challenge and new spellings are handed out. We ask the children to write sentences using the words they have learnt to apply their understanding.

On Fridays one piece of Maths and English homework is handed out, to be returned during the following week.

Children should also try to read a little every day as well as practising their spellings and times tables as often as possible ready for their challenges. There are many dojos up for grabs!

Thank you for your continued support!
